TreeKeepers Youth Branch

The TreeKeepers Youth Branch aims to spark the next generation of urban forest heroes. We offer mentor-based aboriculture programs to help interested teens learn why and how to plant and care for trees. Trained staff also facilitate elementary classroom projects and support tree sale fundraisers for Vancouver schools.

The TreeKeepers Youth Branch supports youth communities in Vancouver in maintaining and enhancing our urban forest. Our team of environmental educators, arborists and horticulturalists offer:

  • mentorship for youth caring for trees in their school or community
  • tree-themed workshops (in classroom and community settings)
  • coordination of community tree distribution
  • tree care advice and troubleshooting
  • professional development training for teachers
  • youth leadership and skill building programs
  • presentations at youth events
